Stutzle and Josh Norris scored in a shootout and the Ottawa Senators
rallied twice for a 3-2 win over the New Jersey Devils on Monday
night in Newark, N.J.
The Senators notched their season-high third straight win in the
makeup of a Nov. 16 game that was postponed due to Ottawa's COVID-19
outbreak.
Stutzle scored in the shootout's first round when he made a
deliberate move, slowly weaved in down the right side and lifted a
quick wrist shot under New Jersey goalie Mackenzie Blackwood.
Norris scored in the second round, making a quick move down the
right side and flipping a shot over Blackwood's stick.
Tomas Tatar scored in the shootout for the Devils, whose slump
reached 2-6-3 in their past 11 games. After Tatar scored in the
first round, Jesper Bratt shot wide in the second round and Anton
Forsberg made a glove save on Andreas Johnsson to clinch the win.
Drake Batherson and Brady Tkachuk each collected a goal and an
assist for Ottawa, which rallied from a pair of one-goal deficits in
the second period.
Damon Severson and Nathan Bastian scored for the Devils in a game
that featured only one power play, for the Senators.
Forsberg made 22 saves, including a point-blank stop on Dawson
Mercer with six seconds left in regulation and a point-blank save on
defenseman Dougie Hamilton with eight seconds left in overtime.

Blackwood finished with 21 saves.
Severson scored for the second straight game when his wrist shot,
just 35 seconds in. His shot from the left point sailed over
Forsberg, who was screened by teammate Nikita Zaitsev and New
Jersey's Pavel Zacha.
The Senators had a goal by Connor Brown disallowed when defenseman
Nick Holden skated into the crease and collided with Blackwood. Two
minutes later, Batherson evened the game with a wrister from the
right circle that hit the crossbar after getting a cross-ice pass
from Tkachuk at 7:15 of the second period.
The Devils regained the lead 65 seconds later. P.K. Subban ripped a
wrist shot from above the right circle that grazed off Bastian's
stick and went over Forsberg.
The Senators tied the game again with 7:18 remaining in the second.
Tkachuk fired a one-timer from the low slot off a pass by Batherson
from behind the net after turnovers by Bratt and Hamilton.
