Zion Lutheran Church in Lincoln will host a living nativity scene in
front of the church at 205 Pulaski Street on Friday evening from 5
p.m. to 7 p.m.
After viewing the nativity, visitors are invited to drive by some of
the downtown churches and view the stained glass windows.
Both the window viewing and the nativity will be “drive by” events
so as to assure the health and well-being of spectators.
According to Sam Opperman, representing Zion Lutheran, motorists are
asked to utilize North Kankakee Street in order to drive by the
nativity. The best option is to take Broadway Street from North
Logan toward the Junior High School. Turn left onto Kankakee and
drive to Pulaski Street and turn left to drive past the front of the
church.
In addition to the live nativity, Zion and three other downtown
churches will have their interior lights turned on so that the
stained glass windows of the buildings may be viewed by motorists.
