[December 10, 2021]   The premiere of the latest Candy Cain film “A Holiday Homecoming” will take over the big screen at Lincoln College’s Johnston Center for Performing Arts Mainstage on December 11, 2021 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The movie “A Holiday Homecoming” is a faith-based film about the residents of Hope, New York. After a fire at the St. Jerome's Home for Children, the residents come together to help the displaced foster children right before Christmas. Several families find that what they thought was a temporary situation is exactly what they needed to make their home complete!

The film features actors such as Allison Mullaney, Robert Levey II, Taryn Hacker, and Jon Hacker. The picture is written and directed by Candy Cain with Executive Producer Amy Minter and Director of Photography Nelson Smith.

A Holiday Homecoming was released on Pure Flix on November 15, but Gemelli Films is going to host their theatrical premiere at Lincoln College's Johnstons Center of Performing Arts Mainstage Theater in Lincoln, IL in anticipation of creating a faith-based Central Illinois Film Hub. The evening will be filled with pictures in front of the step & repeat banner, meeting some of the cast and crew, walking the red carpet and watching a terrific family film to get you in the mood for Christmas.

Cain has also teamed up with the local businesses in Central Illinois for this event. The Lincoln Art Institute will be hosting a Pre-Party from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and will be offering a family-oriented atmosphere with hot chocolate and cookies. Enjoy time talking with the stars of the movie before the show starts.

Idle Hour will host the premiere, “Adults-Only After Party.” This will be a 21 and over event and tickets will be sold at the door with a limited number available.

Candy Cain, president and founder of Gemelli Films, Inc. as well as an established writer and director, has fallen in love with Central Illinois. Her film “Baking Up Love” was produced this past spring in Morton. Cain is currently working on a new TV series, “Wrath and Rituals”, that is filmed in Lincoln, Morton, Peoria, and other parts of Illinois. Cain wants to develop a Central Illinois Film Hub to grow the economy and is currently looking for investors to make her dream a reality.
