Obituary

Harold Centers, 90, of Lincoln, passed away on December 5, 2021, at his home in Lincoln.

Harold was born on December 31, 1930, in Lincoln, son of James T. and Mary (Walters) Centers. He married Joyce Waldeck on June 30, 1960 in Raymond. She survives him after 61 years of marriage.

Also surviving Harold are his sons: Timothy Wayne (Kristina) Centers and Bradley James (Patricia Russell) Centers, two grandchildren: Laura Centers and Colin Centers, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings: James, Verna, Florene, and Pauline.

Harold was a member of Lincoln Christian Church where he served as a former Deacon and Youth Sponsor. Harold was a past member of the Latham Volunteer Fire Department. He retired from Row Motors with over 40 years of service. Harold was not only a handy and capable person when it came to automobiles; he was also a master woodworker.

Harold was an esteemed volunteer with The Christian Village where his service was instrumental in their Sunday Worship Services for 25 years. But to those who knew Harold well, would say he was a kind, generous, and quiet man who loved and adored his family.

A celebration of Harold’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 9, 2021, at Lincoln Christian Church with Ryan Edgecombe and Terry Davis officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30-11:00 a.m. also at the church.

Memorials may be made in Harold’s name to HSHS Hospice, Christian Village of Lincoln, Latham Fire Department and Rescue, or Lincoln Christian Church.
