Obituary
Pat Geskey, our fierce, loyal, and
sassy mom, went to Heaven on December 16th, 2021
following an unexpected illness.
Pat was born February 1, 1938, to Harold and Armilla
(Verdien) Hoagland of Lincoln. She graduated from
Lincoln Community High School in 1956. She married
John Henry (Hank) Geskey, on July 21, 1963.
Pat was a rare and inspiring wife, mother,
mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother.
All who knew Pat can testify to her loyalty,
generosity and dedication to her community and
family. Her wisdom, strength, and strong community
spirit serve as an example that will endure in the
lives of those who knew and loved her. She was a
member of the American Business Women’s Association,
Republican Women, Eagles Club, American Legion as
well as many other service organizations.
Pat leaves loving memories to be cherished by her
children, Kay (Paul) O’Brien of Bloomington; Mike (Beckie)
Geskey of Bulverde, Texas; Pam (Gary) Shattuck of
Poplar Grove; John (Cindy) Geskey of Glen Burnie,
Maryland; Janet Anderson of Jonesboro, Sandy
(Daughter-In-Law) Geskey of Valparaiso, Indiana;
thirteen grandchildren: Emily (Jason) Stultz, Claire
(Chris) Lantz; Brittney (Tom) Redding; Craig Geskey,
Brock Shattuck, Haylee (Kyle) Bahnick, Lauren
(Scott) Almes, Kaitlin Geskey, Dalton (Kim)
Anderson, Jacob Anderson; Nick (Courtney) Tylka,
Blake Geskey, and seventeen great-grandchildren:
Olivia and Wyatt Stultz, Izzy and Jax Lantz, Emma
and Eli Redding, Bella Geskey, Sloan and Briggs
Bahnick, Archer Almes, Taryn, Dalton Jr, and Olivia
Anderson, Justin and Caden Tylka and Jacob and Henry
Geskey. |
Her siblings include John Hoagland,
Tom Hoagland, Sue Ellzey, Mary Dorris, Janet Fiore
and Roxanne Cramer.
Pat was preceded in death by her Mother and Father;
husband, Hank; son, Mark Geskey, and grandson,
Justin Tylka.
