On Saturday, January 30, 2021, State Senator Sally Turner (R-Beason)
held a formal swearing-in ceremony in the Illinois Senate Chamber,
affirming her position as the newest member of the Illinois Senate
Republican Caucus. After being sworn in by her husband, Appellate
Judge John Turner, Sen. Turner vowed to be a strong advocate for the
residents of the 44th Senate District.
“I’m excited to get to work and look forward to being an active
voice for the people of Central Illinois. The state of Illinois
continues to face significant challenges, which have only been
exacerbated by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
“I am fully focused and prepared to face these challenges. Our state
must get its financial house in order and legislators must ensure
that we provide the necessary tools to our citizens and job creator
so they can recover from the devastating effects this virus has had
on our economy.

“I hope to be a resource for the residents of the 44th district during my time
in office. I encourage all of my constituents to reach out so I can best
represent your interests as we steer Illinois back on track.”
