Lady Railers sweep Taylorville in Apollo Conference basketball action

On Saturday the Lady Railers traveled to Taylorville and it was a clean sweep of the Lady Tornadoes for both the Varsity and JV squads.

Lincoln’s Varsity won 55-45 over Taylorville. Kloe Froebe led Lincoln with 25 points. Ryen Stoltzenburg had 16 points for the Lady Railers.

After the win, Lincoln head coach Taylor Rohrer said, “The girls played hard and got some big stops on defense. They worked the ball around on offense well and were able to find the open girl. It was a great team effort.”

Lincoln’s JV won 47-26 over Taylorville. Ryen Stoltzenburg led Lincoln with 12 points and Becca Heitzig chipped in 11 points.

Lincoln will host Mattoon tonight with the JV scheduled to start at 6 p.m. The Varsity is set to start at 7:30 p.m.
