Obituary
Melvin L. Seitz, 83, of Mount Pulaski
passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Decatur
Memorial Hospital in Decatur.
Melvin was born on October 1, 1937 in Decatur, the
son of Ralph and Cora (Clark) Seitz. He married
Evelyn Garner on June 9, 1956 in Decatur. She
survives in Mount Pulaski.
Melvin is also survived by his children, Mark
(Jayne) Seitz of Mount Pulaski and Jody (Brad Davis)
Stewart of Mount Pulaski; his grandchildren, Jason
Stewart, Shannon (Brian) Moos, Courtney Seitz, and
Chelsey (Doug) Smock; his great-grandchildren, Jade,
Makayla, Keyleigh, Chasey, Kendra, Brentley, Avery,
Piper, Nora, Everett, and Kinleigh.
Melvin was preceded in death by his parents and his
sister, Janet Sarver. |
Melvin was a member of Mount Pulaski
Christian Church. He loved spending time with his
family and his grandkids.
A celebration of Melvin’s life will be held at a
later date.
Memorial donations may be made in Melvin’s name to
Mount Pulaski Christian Church or Mount Pulaski EMS.
Arrangements have been entrusted to
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Mount Pulaski.
