The Lady Railers hosted Sacred Heart-Griffin on
Saturday afternoon at Roy S. Anderson Gymnasium. The game was a
back and forth affair in the first quarter with the Cyclones
finishing on top 13-11. By halftime, the Cyclones had stretched
that lead to 27-22. Lincoln continued to battle in the second
half but could not catch up to the Cyclones, who went on to the
54-44 non-conference victory.
Freshman Kloe Froebe led Lincoln with 26 points. Reese McCuan
added 10 points for the Lady Railers.
Senior Sofie Lowis, who is committed to SIU-E to play
basketball, led the Cyclones with 24 points.
In the JV contest, Sacred Heart-Griffin won 47-34 over Lincoln.
Imagin Werner led Lincoln with 18 points and Becca Heitzig added
11 points for the Lady Railers.
Lincoln will travel to Teutopolis tonight to take on the Lady
Wooden Shoes in an Apollo Conference matchup. The JV game will
start at 6 p.m. The Varsity will start at 7:30 p.m.
