Jodee Leonard, senior physical therapist at Abraham Lincoln Memorial
Hospital, who nominated Marshall to receive the Colleague of the
Month award, wrote, “I have seen Alesha show great courage when
dealing with multiple patient deaths in a short period of time –
such respect and compassion was given to these patients and their
families.”
Marshall also spent extra hours at the hospital outside of her
clinical role during the COVID-19 pandemic, serving as a Safety
Monitor to ensure her colleagues were fully and properly protected
before they entered patient rooms to care for COVID-19-positive
patients.
“I love taking care of people,” said Marshall. “Our department feels
like family.”
