Teutopolis hands Lady Railers a 66-47 loss

The Lady Railers
made the long journey to Teutopolis on Monday night to take on their
Apollo Conference opponents, the Lady Wooden Shoes. The Lady Wooden
Shoes are filled with experience and they won handily over Lincoln,
despite a career-best 31 points from freshman Kloe Froebe.
The Lady Wooden Shoes led 16-12 after the first quarter. By halftime
the lead had grown to 33-20.
The second half was the same story. The lead grew to 54-36 after
three and in the end it was nearly a 20-point victory for
Teutopolis. The final score was 66-47 as the Lady Wooden Shoes sank
10 three-pointers on the evening.
Senior Lexie Niebrugge had six 3-point baskets and junior Zoe
Cremens scored four 3-point baskets. The offensive effort by the
Lady Wooden Shoes was simply outstanding again.
Lincoln falls to 4-4 on the season.
In the JV game, Lincoln was impressive placing three girls in
double-digits for the 42-25 win over Teutopolis.
Becca Heitzig led Lincoln with 11 points. Grace Curry and Imagin
Werner each scored 10 points.
Lincoln will host Charleston Thursday night at Roy S. Anderson
Gymnasium. The JV game will start at 6 p.m. The Varsity game will
start at 7:30 p.m.
