Obituary
Joshua J. Dobey, a former resident of
Elkhart, passed away December 30, 2020 in Manhattan,
IL at the age of 45.
Josh was born April 4, 1975 in Lincoln. He is
survived by his parents, Gary “Skip” Dobey, Joyce
Teeters Dobey and a sister Rebecca Dobey all from
Elkhart.
Josh graduated from Mount Pulaski High School and
joined the Air Force shortly after graduation. He
spent most of his life in the construction business
and worked for a while in Tampa, FL and Peoria.
Eventually he moved to Manhattan, IL and was
employed by All Coast Restoration as a Sales
Consultant/Project Manager, a job he truly loved.

Josh loved working with wood,
painting, and was an avid KC Chiefs fan.
A celebration of Josh’s life will be held at a later
date. Burial at Walnut Hill Cemetery in
Williamsville will also be held at a later date.
Services are entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Lincoln.
Memorials may be made in Josh’s name to Living Faith
Baptist Church in Sherman.
