Tyrece Radford scored 20 points
and No. 20 Virginia Tech made enough defensive stops down the
stretch to escape with a 64-60 road victory against Wake Forest on
Sunday night in Winston-Salem, N.C.
David N'Guessan and Hunter Cattoor both added 13 points for the
Hokies (11-2, 5-1 Atlantic Coast Conference), who committed 15
turnovers.
Keve Aluma pulled in 11 rebounds and blocked four shots to help
compensate for his 1-for-6 shooting from the field for Virginia
Tech, which shot 4-for-18 on 3-point attempts.
Ismael Massoud came off the bench to score 12 points, aided by three
of the team's seven 3-point baskets, to pace Wake Forest. Daivien
Williamson provided 11 points and Isaiah Mucius had 10.
No. 5 Iowa 96, Northwestern 73
Luka Garza posted his sixth double-double of the season with 17
points and 10 rebounds, and the Hawkeyes pulled away to defeat the
Wildcats in their Big Ten matchup in Evanston, Ill.
Joe Wieskamp scored 16 points for the Hawkeyes, while CJ Fredrick
tallied 13 and Jack Nunge finished with 12. Iowa (12-2, 6-1 Big Ten)
won its fifth game in a row and pulled even with Michigan (11-1,
6-1) for first place in the Big Ten.
Pete Nance led the Wildcats with 16 points on 7-of-12 shooting. Boo
Buie had 12 points and Ryan Greer had 10 for Northwestern (6-6,
3-5), which lost its fifth consecutive game and fell to 0-2 against
Iowa this season.

No. 11 Houston 75, UCF 58
Quentin Grimes had 18 points as the host Cougars made their first
four 3-point attempts en route to defeating the Knights in their
American Athletic Conference matchup.
Justin Gorham added 15 points with nine rebounds for the Cougars
(11-1, 6-1 in AAC), who won their fourth in a row. Houston jumped
out to a 12-0 lead thanks to 3-pointers from Marcus Sasser, Grimes
and a pair via DeJon Jarreau.
Freshman Jamille Reynolds scored a season-high 14 points to lead the
Knights (3-5, 1-4).
