Veteran nominations being accepted for first tiny home

[July 05, 2021]   The long wait for the first small home to be built by 2x4’S FOR HOPE in Lincoln is drawing near. The tentative build start date is July 24th with the completion date of August 1st.

The Central Illinois Veterans Commission has received several nomination forms from veterans seeking consideration for the first of three homes.

To be considered the veteran must have either an Honorable or General discharge and not currently own a home. A veteran can be nominated by someone or nominate themselves.

The CIVC is still accepting nominations. The form is on the website at civeteran.org or call 217-828-9366 to receive a paper form. The nomination deadline for the first home is July 16th.
