Atlanta Tourism and the city of Atlanta will host its first Market
Weekend on Route 66 on Saturday July 17th and Sunday, July 18th.
The outdoor market will be located in the Historic Downtown on
Southwest Arch Street, the stretch where The Palms Grill Café and
The Bunyon Giant are found, and Vine Street, from The Gift Box to
Xenia Park where it meets Arch Street. The market will be moved
indoors in the Downey Building and Union Hall (the Atlanta Museum,
Visitors Center, and Palms Grill Café respectively) if there is
rain. The market will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and
Sunday from 12 noon to 4 p.m. There is no admission fee and there
will be ample public parking available in and around downtown.
During the Market Weekend on Route 66, there will be three BMW club
chapter cruise-in on July 17. There will be two Illinois and one
Missouri chapter represented at the BMW meet. The chapters will ride
into town around 8:30 a.m. for Cars and Coffee. They will be parked
on Arch Street and visitors will be able to view and enjoy the BMWs.
The BMW club chapters will depart Atlanta in the afternoon.

On July 18, there will be a Jeep cruise-in from 12 noon to 2 p.m. Jeep owners
and lovers are welcome to come! There is no admission or cruise-in fee.
Registration will be at the blue tent in Xenia Park on Arch Street.
Market Weekend on Route 66 currently has 23 vendors of a wide range, to include
jewelry, t- shirts, paintings, engraved goods, dog treats, keychains, milk,
toys, knitted and crocheted items, gifts, and much more.
Atlanta’s Tourism Development Director will still accept applications for
