Obituary
Beatrice “Bea” Sisk went home to be
with the LORD on July 2, 2021. In the presence of
her daughter and surrounded by the love of her
family, she took her last breath on earth while
listening to “I Can Only Imagine”. Her work here
completed, she is now with her Mom and Dad, Walter
and Earline Vincent (Coleman); Son, Thomas D Root,
Jr.; Siblings, Wilma Jean Craft, Shirley Ann Brown,
Ivy Mae Salmon, and James Wilfred Craft, and of
course her LORD and Savior, Christ Jesus in Heaven
above.
She married the love of her life, Stanley C. Sisk,
Sr, on May 4, 1978. She enjoyed spending time with
family and friends, gazing at the beauty of nature,
the outdoors, and spending as much time as she could
with her "Stanny" at their "Sugar Shack". Bea loved
to read (she always had a book nearby). She loved
animals, her "oldies", dancing, and always--ALWAYS--
beat everyone at dice.
Born in Evansville, IN on March 21, 1954, she was
raised and lived in LIncoln. She spent her last
seven months in St. John's, Florida fighting the
cancer battle with every ounce of her being.
Determined and stubborn, she never gave up on anyone
or anything. |
Leaving behind her children: Kelly
Root (Stacy), Newton, IA; Darla Upton (MIchael), St.
John's, FL; Annette Veech, Lincoln, and Stanley "Bub"
Sisk, Jr. (Carey), Cottage HIll, fifteen
grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and two more
great-grandchildren on the way. She also leaves
behind her siblings: Tom Vincent (Kathy), Lincoln,
Donna Budd, Camano Island, WA and Maurice Craft
(Diane), Bowling Green, KY.
Bea praised and worshipped God at Open Arms
Christian Fellowship.
Services for Beatrice will be at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader in Lincoln, IL on Saturday,
July 10th at 11:00 am with Larry Crawford
officiating. Visitation will be from 2 hours prior
to the service,9:00a-11:00a.m, also at the funeral
home. Burial At Zion Cemetery will follow the
service.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her
honor to the Triple Negative Breast Cancer
Foundation or the American Heart Association.
