						Saturday afternoon, Tyler and Allison Simmerings stopped 
						in at the Habitat for Humanity of Logan County warehouse 
						to pick up the half-hog they won via a HFHLC raffle 
						fundraiser. 
						 
						The meat was presented by HFHLC board members Jamie 
						Voyles (left) and Bob Chamberlain (right). Also present 
						for the presentation was board President Tonita

			Allison Simmering wins Habitat for 
			Humanity half-hog raffle 
			New officers seated for coming year

             On Saturday afternoon Tyler and Allison 
			Simmering were on hand at the Habitat for Humanity of Logan County 
			warehouse to collect their winnings from a recent HFHLC half-hog 
			raffle. 
				
			Allison Simmering was the official winner of the 
			raffle drawing and said she was very excited about being drawn. She 
			said that she never wins anything but to get this prize made up for 
			all the other times.

			 Simmering said that she did have room at home to 
			store all her pork products, but her mother had also volunteered 
			additional freezer space if needed. 
			 
			On hand to congratulate the Simmerings were board President Tonita 
			Reifsteck, and board members Bob Chamberlain and Jamie Voyles. 
			 
			The half-hog was donated to HFHLC by Tarter Brothers Heating and 
			Cooling in Lincoln. Voyles said that it was a tremendous gift, 
			allowing the HFHLC to raise funds for future building projects. 
			 
			In other news 
			 
			The HFHLC met on July 7th for their business meeting. In addition to 
			holding the drawing for the half hog, the group recognized members 
			who are departing from the board. Marc Schoonover and Cince Bowns 
			were recognized and thanked for their service to the community.
			
			 Four new board members were seated and the 
			election of officers for the coming year took place.

New board members are Doug Graff, Carrie Osborn, Laura Sandrolini 
and Cathy Tiffany. 
 
Serving in officer positions for the coming year are President Tonita Reifsteck, 
Secretary Laura Tomlinson, Assistant Secretary Laura Sandrolini, Treasurer Cathy 
Tiffany, Assistant Treasurer Bob Chamberlain. Remaining board members will sit 
in Board Support rolls filling committee assignments as needed. Those supporting 
members are Graff, Osborn, and Jamie Voyles.
