Obituary
Word has been received by Linda
Barrick of the passing of her dear friend Joan Boyer
Glick of Fallbrook, CA on June 20, 2021.
Joan Boyer was born in Chicago on May 12, 1943, the
daughter of Norman Boyer and Evelyn Wiler Boyer. She
attended grade school at St. Patrick's in Lincoln
and was in the Class of 1961 at LCHS.
After moving to California in the early 1960's, she
married Robert Glick, also a Lincolnite, on December
28, 1963 at Nativity Catholic Church in Torrance,
CA. They resided in Torrance for many years and
later retired to Fallbrook, CA.
Joan is survived by her husband Bob of Fallbrook,
sons Bruce and Todd, grandsons Kyle, Jacob and Sean,
sister Sheila (Patrick) Hern of Washington,
Illinois, nephews Chris and Rick Hern, niece Beth
Gawason, many close friends and her precious dog
Sophie.
Joan previously was employed by the Torrance school
system and retired to be a homemaker. Joan was
preceded in death by her parents and sister
Virginia. Memorials may be made to St. Jude's
Children's Hospital, Tunnel to Towers or Wounded
Warriors.
