The Lincoln Public Library District along with
United Community Bank of Lincoln will be hosting a Grand Summer
Reading Program Finale for Reading Colors Your World, on Thursday,
			July 22 from 10:00AM – 2:00PM. |

Festivities will begin with Silly Safaris, a live
interactive animal conservation education program at 10:00AM on the
lawn of the Carnegie building. Followed by, United Community Bank
sponsoring free ice cream and a bounce house for summer reading
participants from 11:00AM – 2:00PM at Latham Park. Rain will bring
most of the planned activities inside the Annex.

Reading Colors Your World participants have been busy all summer
beating the summer slide by reading and completing their book logs
for incentives, attending program events, and taking home
educational craft kits. Studies show that reading over the summer
prevents summer reading loss. When students feel at ease reading,
they tend to choose books they enjoy, thus becoming lifelong
			readers. [to top of second
