							Obituary  
							 
							Charlene Shanle, 85, of Lincoln 
							formerly of Chestnut passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 
							2021 at The Christian Village in Lincoln. 
							 
							Charlene was born on November 5, 1935 in Ridgway, 
							the daughter of Helen Bruce. She married Duane E. 
							Shanle on July 3, 1959. He preceded her in death on 
							July 23, 2005. 
							 
							Charlene is survived by her children, Bruce 
							(Barbara) Shanle of Oakford, Beth (Mike) Brunson of 
							Wake Forest, NC, Brian (Cindy) Shanle of Milan, OH, 
							Greg (Marla) Shanle of Lincoln, and Rhonda (Keith) 
							Kurz of Crossville, TN; her 14 grandchildren; and 
							three great-grandchildren. 
							 
							Charlene was preceded in death by her mother, and 
							her husband.

							Charlene was a member of the American 
							Business Women’s Association, the Mount Pulaski 
							American Legion Auxiliary #447. She played the Organ 
							and Piano at The Chestnut United Methodist Church; 
							and was also a member of Grace Community Fellowship 
							in Buffalo. Charlene’s family would like to extend a 
							heartfelt thank you to the staff at The Memory Care 
							Unit of The Christian Village in Lincoln.  
							 
							Services for Charlene will be held at 10:30am on 
							Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader 
							Funeral Home, Mount Pulaski, with Larry Hanson and 
							Ryan Edgecombe officiating. Visitation will take 
							place from 4:00-7:00pm on Monday, July 12, 2021 also 
							at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services 
							at Steenbergen Cemetery in Mount Pulaski.  
							 
							Memorial donations may be made in Charlene’s name to 
							Give Kids The World.
