‘Workcamp for Lincoln’ youth hit the ground running this week in Logan County. On day two at a couple of Work Camp sites were showing progress. At the corner of Kickapoo and Decatur Streets, Team 18 members were installing a wooden wheel chair ramp. Post holes were dug and youth were learning how to use a level.

Further north on College Street Teams 20 and 21 collaborated on painting a house. Trim and foundation was nearing completion with plans to paint the siding on Wednesday for an all fresh exterior. On site supervisor Steve emphasized safety, especially on the ladders.

On Palmer Avenue a home was getting a fresh coat of paint with about half of the job done on Monday and work continuing on Tuesday.

On North Logan a Team was also working hard, scraping the eaves and getting ready for another great paint job there.

LDN will have additional coverage from the Workcamp projects in a future edition.
