[May 30, 2021]  MOUNT PULASKI - Marvin D. Harp, 76, passed away at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, on Sunday, May 23, 2021.

Service:  2:00pm on Friday, May 28, 2021 at Mount Pulaski Cemetery in Mount Pulaski.

Obituary

Marvin D. Harp, 76, passed away at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, on Sunday, May 23, 2021.

Marvin was born on March 5, 1945 in Tazewell County, the son of James and Wilma (Stone) Harp. He married Suzanne Wagner on November 26, 1971 in Mount Pulaski.

Marvin is survived by his wife, Suzanne Harp; daughter, Amanda (George) Tarr of Virden, son, Matthew Harp of Decatur, his grandchildren, Carly Ann Harp of New Orleans, LA, Zachary James Harp of Sparland, and Tyler Matthew Harp of Decatur, great-granddaughter, Vivian Rose Austin of New Orleans, LA; sister, Yvonne Cheek of Lincoln.

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Richard Harp and Dallas Harp; and sister, Loretta.

Marvin was employed by Eaton Corp in Lincoln, as a machinist.

A graveside service for Marvin will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, May 28, 2021 at Mount Pulaski Cemetery in Mount Pulaski.

Memorial donations may be made in Marvin’s name to Wild Canine, Macoupin County Animal Control, or St. John’s Lutheran Church in Mount Pulaski.

Services have been entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Mount Pulaski.
