Obituary
Martha Niemeyer, 86, passed away at
Springfield Memorial Hospital on May 21, 2021.
Martha was born on November 27, 1934 in Lincoln,
daughter of William and Frieda (Fitchen) Elsas. She
married William Lee Niemeyer on July 9, 1953 in
Lincoln. Lee preceded her in death on June 26, 1996.
Surviving Martha is her daughter, Marsha (Gene)
Hickey of Elkhart. Grandchildren: Brad Hickey of
Sydney, and Melissa (Rich) Kirgan of New Holland,
and five great grandchildren; her brothers: Dean and
Ron (Sandy) Elsas both of Morton.
Martha was preceded in death by her
parents, husband, infant daughter; Sue Ellen,
brother: Paul, and sisters: Faye Kindelburger,
Francis Fitzwater and Marilyn Elsas. |
Martha’s passion was the love of
bowling for over 60 years. She retired from Lehn &
Fink after 30 years of service.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m.
Thursday, May 27, 2021 at New Union Cemetery with
Brad Curtis officiating.
Services are entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Lincoln.
