It was a busy Friday and Saturday for the
Hilltoppers Skeet and Trap teams as shooters participated in the
state tournament for the Illinois High School Clay Target League
at Brittany Shooting Park in Bunker Hill.
Mount Pulaski Skeet Team
won first place on Friday and the Trap Team
won third place on Saturday.
Deserving special individual recognition is Alec
Martin of Mount Pulaski. Martin shot 100/100 in Saturday’s Trap
competition, earning first place in the Male Division and High
Overall. Martin was one of five perfect shooters on the day.
The team was given a police and fire truck escort
around the Mount Pulaski town square on Saturday evening upon
arrival back into town.
The team consists of MPHS students and LCHS
