Obituary
Bruce L. Eads, 65, passed away at his
home on June 9, 2021 in Emden after a long
courageous battle with cancer.
Bruce was born on May 17, 1956 in Lincoln, son of
Robert and Doris (Seaman) Eads. Bruce married the
love of his life Amy (Aper) on November 1, 1975 in
Emden. They were married for 45 years. Amy survives
him.
Bruce is also survived by his two sons, Ryan (Amber)
Eads and Keith (Brianna) Eads, whom he loved with
all his heart and was so proud of all their
accomplishments he instilled great work ethic and
family values that they still hold today; his
grandchildren are Bryson Eads, Tearaney Eads, Ivy
Pierce, Seth Eads, Deagan Eads, Autumn Strohl, and
Kylee Eads. Grandchildren were such a blessing to
Bruce. They all loved him and knew he was a
one-of-a-kind. Bruce spent a lot of time with
grandchildren leaving them all with special memories
of “Grandpa/Gramps”. Additionally, Bruce is survived
by two brothers, Gary (Genevea) Eads and Michael
(Deloris) Eads Sr.; his sister-in-law, Penny (Kevin)
McCoy; and two special nephews Jeff (Jennifer) Eads
and Michael (Thais) Eads. He is also survived by
many other nieces and nephews. |
Bruce was preceded in death by his
parents.
Bruce owned and operated his own business and was in
Masonry work for over 45 years. He had a passion for
cars, especially his 1966 Chevelle SS.
Services for Bruce will be held at 4:00 PM on
Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Lincoln. Visitation will take place
two hours prior to the service (2:00–4:00 PM) also
at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made in Bruce’s name to St. Jude
Children’s Research Hospital or donor’s choice.
The family ask that those who attend to come as you
are, work boots and blue jeans are welcome.
