Track and Field: Good luck to McCuan and Heitzig at state

[June 11, 2021]    Good luck to Reese McCuan and Becca Heitzig as they compete today in the Class 2A IHSA State Track and Field tournament at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston.

Both girls won the Sectional Championships in their events last week at Macomb.

McCuan, a junior, placed first in the triple jump with a distance of 35' 6.5", beating her previous school record she set earlier this season.

Heitzig, a freshman, placed first in both the 800m and 1600m events at Macomb. Heitzig ran the 800m in 2:15.56. She ran the 1600m in 5:18.96.
