[June 16, 2021]
This upcoming Fall semester, Heartland Community College Lincoln
students will have an opportunity to enhance their college
experience with some hometown flavor.
The newly formed program Hometown Hawks is designed to easily
connect students to campus services, offer leadership opportunities,
build a network of local friends and instructors, and offer regular
trips to the Normal campus. Classes are scheduled in a way to make
it convenient to complete general education requirements with
tutoring, success coaching and counseling services offered on site.
“Heartland Community College Lincoln has so much to offer our local
students,” said Heartland Community College Lincoln Director, Kristi
Powell. “We want area students to know they can begin their
Heartland education with fellow Logan County students at the Lincoln
campus. Our Hometown Hawks will get extra support in multiple areas
to help launch them toward their educational goals.”
