Juneteenth will reflect on the history, experiences,
purpose and goals of Black culture. Various backgrounds will come
together to reflect and propose plans to implement change in our
community.
This is a free family friendly event at the Fairgrounds promoting
equality, social justice and unity.
The day will begin at 9:30 a.m. with a march
starting at the historical Allen Chapel AME Church (Broadway Street
across from the Logan County Safety Complex) where Langston Hughes
worshiped and conclude at the Logan County Fair Grounds.
Following the march will be a festive celebration
including, community speakers, local business owners, school
officials, city officials, educational activities, entertainment,
Young King and Queen Showcase and more at the fairground.
All are welcome!
