Juneteenth
was celebrated in a big way in Lincoln on Saturday.
Following an awareness march from Allen Chapel AME
Church in Lincoln to the Logan County Fairgrounds, a day
of celebrating lasted into the mid-afternoon.
Immediately after the march, Jessica Jackson spoke to
the attendees, explaining the purpose of the holiday and
the significance it holds for black Americans.
