							Obituary

							Sandra Elizabeth Deilkes, 69, of
Springfield, passed away peacefully on June 20,
2021, at Memorial Medical center in Springfield.

Sandra was born on May 18, 1952, in Kewanee,
daughter of Theodore and Mary Elizabeth (Anson)
Smith. She married Phillip T. Deilkes on April 24,
1982, in Kewanee. He preceded her in death on
							January 9, 2009.

Surviving Sandra is her mother; her children: David
(Lisa) Deilkes, Dennis Deilkes, Rachel (Dustin
							Jackson) Deilkes, Becka (Randall) Deilkes-Mileham;
one brother: Tim (Karon) Smith; 11 grandchildren, 11
							great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews,
							and her four-legged companion.

Sandra was preceded in death by her father, husband,
one great grandchild, and one great niece.

Sandra was always an energetic and joyful person who
never knew a stranger; even a quick trip to the
grocery store Sandra would find someone to visit
with. Sandra served as a CNA for several years in
different area Nursing Homes; she later worked for
							Walmart for many years. |

She was a member of Presbyterian
churches in both Lincoln and Springfield where she
loved singing in the choir. She had a fondness and
passion for all types of turtles. But above all
else, Sandra loved her family especially her
							grandkids.

Services for Sandra will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, June
							26, 2021, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in
Lincoln, IL with Rev. Adam Quine officiating.
Visitation will be two hours prior to the service
							(1:00-3:00 p.m.).
