Once again, a full day of food, fellowship, music and
fun - all free - were offered in Scully Park in Lincoln.
While temps were rather warm on Saturday, the shade of the park and
a slight breeze made a wonderful atmosphere to enjoy all the
activities. The park was filled with fun things to do from agility
activities to bounce houses of various sorts including water slides.
Young families and teens hung out and visited
throughout the park. This event was a kids-of-all-ages delight and
every parent's dream of a safe, fun, no expense day in the park.
Kids could win prizes at tossing games and whole families were
getting coordinated face paintings. What waiting lines there were,
were short and relaxed. So, it was a no, to little stress day for
all.
The stage was populated with various Christian music artists and
there was plenty of tented seating to enjoy performances.
Many people made a trip to the food stations before
meandering over to listen to live music. Others just put a
blanket on the ground. There were lots of choices of fresh grilled
meat sandwiches, fried fish, snacks, chips, snow cones, and cotton
candy, and drinks.
