Carey Named Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital Colleague of the Month for May

Betty Carey, an MRI technologist in the radiology department at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital, was named the nonprofit hospital’s Colleague of the Month for May.

Carey was nominated by a patient, who noted Carey’s attention to details keeps Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital patients safe and comfortable during a visit to the hospital. “She went above and beyond with me,” said the patient in the nomination form, “and I believe she does that for every patient she has contact with.”

Carey strives to provide each patient she sees, each day, with a great experience. “My patients are my job,” she said.

Carey, of Athens, has worked at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital for 13 years. She enjoys golfing with friends and her husband, Bruce, and visiting with her seven grandchildren.
