Blaum Scholarship available for Nursing and Agriculture Students

 

[February 25, 2021]   State Bank of Lincoln Wealth Management, a Division of Heartland Bank and Trust Company, has announced applications are being accepted for the Iva Mae Blaum Trust Scholarship. This scholarship is available to Logan County residents who are graduating high school seniors pursuing bachelor degrees in agriculture or nursing.

The scholarship, given in memory of Arthur B. Blaum and Iva Mae Blaum, is a yearly award up to and not exceeding to the base cost of tuition for 12 hours at the University of Illinois, Champaign Urbana after all other additional scholarships have been applied to the tuition bill. Recipients may use the scholarship at any 4-year institution of their choice. It is renewable up to 8 semesters, provided that the recipient continues to pursue an agriculture or nursing degree and maintains a “B” average.

Iva Mae was a graduate of Deaconess Hospital of Lincoln and retired from Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in 1985 after 46 years of service.

The application deadline is Friday, March 19, 2021. Applications must be submitted in hard copy format at the following address:
