| The Lincoln Railers were playing their fifth
game in six days on Wednesday night at Roy S. Anderson Gymnasium
when they took on the New Berlin Pretzels. There might have been
10 tired bodies on the court when the game began and that may
have attributed to the low-scoring affair. Lincoln did not have
any trouble winning 35-18 over the Pretzels.
Lincoln took the 2-0 lead early on a Dylan Singleton bucket in
the lane off the pass from Brody Whiteman. Minutes later Andrew
Graue took a three from the top and it touched nothing but net.
Lincoln held a 5-0 lead just ahead of the five-minute mark. Dain
Richie would give the Pretzels their only basket of the quarter
and at the end of one Lincoln was on top 5-3.

Second quarter action saw Richie put the Pretzels on top 6-5.
Then it was Whiteman quickly answering with a three to move
Lincoln back in the lead, 8-6. Singleton’s burst of energy
surged the Railers out to a 14-9 lead. Doing it all in the lane,
Singleton earned two points on the drive, then quickly turned
around and stole the ball at half court from the Pretzels and
ran in for another two points. Finally he pulled down his own
rebound on the next possession and just like that six more
points were added next to number 3 on the scoreboard. A steal
and layup by Elijah Pollice would end the Railers second quarter
scoring and Lincoln’s lead was 16-9.

Landon Hullinger lit up the scoreboard in the third quarter,
leading the way with eight points. As New Berlin struggled with
the Railer defense and the lid on the basket, Lincoln took a
25-14 lead heading into the final quarter.

By the time the fourth quarter came around it was simply a
matter of playing out the eight minutes as quickly as possible
to get home and get some rest. Coach Neil Alexander did give
some subs considerable playing time in order to give the
starters some rest. Jaden Klopp, Jalen Conway, Drake Rutledge,
Alex Hoffert and Payton Cook all racked up Varsity minutes.
Andrew Graue had his first Varsity start in place of Adam
Grunder, who was not dressed for the game and was sitting on the
				Railer bench.

Lincoln wins the game 35-18 and improves to 8-2 overall on the
				season.

Dylan Singleton led Lincoln with 14 points. Landon Hullinger
				added 11 points.

The Lincoln JV team defeated New Berlin 46-25. Camden Nelson and
Payton Cook each led Lincoln with 12 points.

The Railers will be back at home Friday night to host
Charleston. The JV game will start at 6:00 p.m The Varsity game
				will start at 7:30 p.m.
