[March 06, 2021]  LINCOLN - Edrie P. Berger, 93, of Lincoln passed away on Monday, February 22, 2021, at The Christian Village, in Lincoln.

Service:  A private family graveside service will be held and a celebration of Edrie’s life will be held at a later date.

Edrie P. Berger, 93, of Lincoln passed away on Monday, February 22, 2021, at The Christian Village, in Lincoln.

Edrie was born on December 27, 1927 in Vandalia, the daughter of Theodore “Ted” and Blanche (Howard) Jackson. Edrie married Elmer Berger on January 11, 1954 in Peoria. Elmer preceded her in death on January 17, 1995.

Edrie is survived by her children; Bev Kunkel of Lincoln, Vivian (Robert) Thompson of Lincoln and Diane (John) Cisco of Lincoln; her grandchildren, Samantha, Bill, Allegra, Amber, Noel, Hannah, and Bethany; her 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

Edrie was a supervisor for a foster grandparent program at Lincoln Developmental Center. She also served as a Deputy Clerk for Ed Madigan. Edrie enjoyed sewing, weaving, gardening, crafting, and making dolls. She was also a passionate reader.

Edrie is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elmer; her three brothers, William, Robert, and Teddy Jackson; and her two sisters, Annetta Mae Jackson and Sally Franz.

A private family graveside service will be held and a celebration of Edrie’s life will be held at a later date.

Memorial donation may be made in Edrie’s name to her family.

Services have been entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln.
