Springfield edges Lady Railers 67-65

The Lady Railers hosted the
Springfield Senators on Saturday at Roy S. Anderson Gymnasium and a
Lincoln victory was close but it would be the Senators edging out
the Lady Railers 67-65 in the end.
Lincoln jumped out to a 14-11 first quarter lead. By halftime the
Lady Railers were in front 36-23. The Senators picked up their game
in the third quarter and came charging back to within two points,
46-44 the slim Lincoln lead. The Senators overcame a 17-point fourth
quarter effort by freshman Kloe Froebe and stole the victory from
Lincoln. The final score was 67-65.
Kloe Froebe scored a new career-high of 38 points to lead all
scorers. Reese McCuan added 11 points for the Lady Railers.
Lincoln falls to 7-8 on the season.
Springfield improves to 9-4 on the season.
In the JV game the Lady Railers picked up a nice 47-40 win over
Springfield. Grace Curry led Lincoln with 11 points. Imagin Werner
and Jazmyn Robbins each had 10 points for the Lady Railers.
Lincoln will play at Mount Zion Monday night. The JV game will start
at 6 p.m. The Varsity will start at 7:30 p.m.
