The Railers hosted PORTA on Wednesday night and won 57-29
over the Blue Jays.
The Railers jumped out to a 17-6 lead at the end of the first
quarter.
By halftime the Railers commanded a 31-11 lead. Midway thru the
third quarter the Railers were up 40-13.
Landon Hullinger’s three at the third quarter buzzer would make the
score 47-18.
The Railer bench took over the fourth quarter, with Jaylen Conway,
Drake Rutledge and Andrew Graue getting buckets. The final score was
57-29.
Dylan Singleton was perfect on the evening, going 7-of-7 from the
field and 3-for-3 from the free throw line for a total of 17 points.
Landon Hullinger hit double-figures with 10 points.
Lincoln improves to 16-4 on the season.
Because the freshmen from PORTA were at a freshmen conference game,
Lincoln played just two quarters of basketball action against the
PORTA sophomores. PORTA won that matchup 27-17.
However, there was a JV game at 5:00 p.m. between Lincoln and Normal
West. Lincoln won that game 56-54. Tyler Sasse led Lincoln with 16
points and Jake Bivin tossed in 12 points for the Railers.
The Railers will host Taylorville Friday night at Roy S. Anderson
Gymnasium. The JV will play at 6:00 p.m. The Varsity will play at
7:30 p.m.
