Olympia edges Mount Pulaski 68-67 in overtime

Mount Pulaski hosted Olympia in their final game of the
season and it was the Spartans winning in overtime 68-67 over the
Hilltoppers.
Olympia held an 18-16 advantage at the end of the first quarter. The
Spartans maintained a slim 34-32 lead at the half. The Hilltoppers
took a 47-46 lead at the end of the third quarter. The two teams
were tied 62-62 at the end of regulation.
The Spartans outscored Mount Pulaski 6-5 in overtime to take the
68-67 win. Lane Murphy scored all five of Mount Pulaski’s overtime
points.
Aidan Schneider led the Hilltoppers with a career-high 21 points.
Lane Murphy scored 18 points. Lucas Kuhlman dropped in 12 points.
Evan Cooper hit double-figures with 10 points.
Mount Pulaski finished the season with a 10-5 record.
In the JV game Olympia edged Mount Pulaski 37-36.
Jack Halsey led the Hilltoppers with 12 points. Landon Smith scored
10 points for Mount Pulaski.
