              Community Action Partnership of Central

support the procurement of materials needed for Workcamp for Lincoln
that will take place across the community this summer. |

As part of a partnership with a national
organization called Group Mission Trips, the workcamp will bring
youth from across the country to Logan County to complete home
repairs for 60 to 70 homes. The focus will be on low-income,
veterans and disabled and support local businesses through the
purchase of materials at local suppliers.
"Residents with health and financial concerns can feel burdened by
home repairs," said Breann Titus, Director of Agency Development at
CAPCIL. "This project can help give them a better quality of life
and the beautification of our neighborhoods will bring a sense of
			pride to our community."

The grant funds were made available through the Ameren Cares
program, which connects Ameren Illinois with the communities it
serves through charitable giving and volunteering. Brian Brackney,
Electric Regional Director, Ameren Illinois said a key focus of this
program is to partner with non-profit organizations like CAPCIL to
improve the quality of life in Ameren Illinois’ service territory.

"At Ameren Illinois, we not only work in the communities we
serve, we live here too," said Brackney. "And as a community, it's important
that we come together and support each other in any way we can. Ameren Illinois
is proud to partner with CAPCIL on this project to improve the quality of life
for Logan County."

Homeowners living in Logan County that may qualify for these free home repairs
can visit www.capcil.info and click on the Client Kiosk Button to apply. Once
the application is received, it will be reviewed for eligibility. Eligible
homeowners will then be contacted with next steps.
