Larson Teacher Education Scholarship Available to LCHS Seniors

 

[March 24, 2021]   State Bank of Lincoln Wealth Management, a Division of Heartland Bank and Trust Company, has announced applications are being accepted for the Lucille Flick Larson Scholarship.

This scholarship is available to Lincoln Community High School District #404 students attending any college or university with the intention of becoming full-time education teachers following graduation. It is renewable throughout the student’s college career when a “B” average is maintained.

This scholarship was originally established in 1994 by Arthur Larson in memory of his wife. Mrs. Larson taught school for 38 years. She was a graduate of Lincoln Community High School, and she also attended Lincoln College, Normal Teachers’ College and the University of Michigan. Throughout her career she dedicated herself to excellence in education and provided a caring haven for her students.

Applications for the 2021 Lucille Flick Larson Scholarship are available on the LCHS Guidance website. Students may also email Sue Sheley at [e-mail] or call 217-735-7112. Box 529, Lincoln, Illinois 62656.

The application deadline is Friday, April 2, 2021.
