“Some days, caring for my patients means sitting quietly with them
so they are not alone and scared,” said Adams. “Other days, it’s
talking with them. Each day, my job is to keep them safe and get
them healthy enough to return home to their loved ones.”
Adams has worked at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in her current
role for two and a half years.
“Kari is kind and compassionate, and has an amazing work ethic and
attitude,” said Lindsey Goodwin, RN, one of Adams’ colleagues.
“Kari’s patients often remember her and share with me stories of the
excellent care Kari provided to them. I feel fortunate to work with
such an amazing person.”
Adams, a certified nursing assistant (CNA), is enrolled in school to
obtain her bachelor’s degree in nursing. She lives in Lincoln with
her husband and has two teenage children.
