Sarah Tierney named Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital’s Colleague of the Month for March

Sarah Tierney, a registered nurse who is a certified diabetes care and education specialist, is the Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital (ALMH) Colleague of the Month for March.

Tierney serves in numerous departments, which include ALMH and Taylorville Memorial Hospital Clinical Nutrition and Diabetes Services, ALMH Cardiac Rehab and Pulmonary Rehab, Senior Life Solutions and her redeployment to the COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic.

“Sarah always goes the extra mile for her patients and colleagues,” Jennifer DiPasquale, ALMH’s Clinical Nutrition supervisor, said. “She consistently trains to learn new skills to be able to serve the community and help out other departments.”

Tierney has worked at ALMH since March 2016.

“The most rewarding part of my job is the privilege of educating and empowering patients to take better care of their health,” Tierney said. “I feel fortunate to be able to work in various departments at ALMH.”

Tierney lives in Atlanta. She enjoys spending time and traveling with her husband and three children.
