[May 05, 2021]  LINCOLN - Naomi “Hermine” Singleton, 95, of Lincoln passed away on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at Copper Creek Cottages in Lincoln.

Service:  A celebration of Hermine’s life will be held at a later date.

Naomi “Hermine” Singleton, 95, of Lincoln passed away on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at Copper Creek Cottages in Lincoln.

Hermine was born on August 29, 1925 in Chestnut, the daughter of Joseph Everett and Fay Rosa (Billings) Armstrong. She married Jefferson Davis “JD” Singleton on April 12, 1946 in Chestnut. He preceded her in death on December 26, 2006.

Hermine is survived by her sons, Jeffrey (Christie) Singleton, and Pat (Debbie) Singleton; her sisters, Coleen Wilhelm, Madilyn Erlenbush, Linda Rentmeister, and Fay Bahn; her brother, Forrest Armstrong; her grandchildren, Troy (Kasey) Singleton, Staci (George) Lacefield, Richie (Leslie) Singleton, Scott (Jennifer) Singleton, and Danielle Mahler; her eleven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

 

Hermine was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brothers, Joe and Paul Armstrong.

Hermine was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Lincoln and The Emblem Club. She enjoyed reading; and loved watching the St. Louis Cardinals. Hermine also enjoyed her time traveling and playing bridge with her friends. Above all else, Hermine loved watching her kids and then later her grandkids play sports.

Cremation rites will be accorded by Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home.

A celebration of Hermine’s life will be held at a later date.
