Railsplitters crush the Cardinals 15-4

Lincoln traveled to Warrensburg Friday night to take on the
Warrensburg-Latham Cardinals and the Railsplitters came home with a 15-4
win.
Tanner Strampp got the Railsplitters on the board in the first inning
with an RBI single.
The Cardinals got all of their runs in the bottom of the first inning
off Lincoln starter Lucas Konczyk.
With the Cardinals leading 4-1 going into the top of the third inning,
Lincoln plated seven runs in the inning to go ahead 8-4. The
Railsplitters took advantage of six walks and an error, along with four
singles in the inning, to take the lead. A two-run single by Trent
Koehler highlighted the offensive outburst.
Lincoln added three runs in the top of the fourth inning. After singles
by Sean Raffa, Devyn Snow and Seth Tungate loaded the bases, Dylan
Singleton cleared the bases with a triple and Lincoln was up 11-4.
The Railsplitters scored four more runs in the top of the fifth inning
to take a 15-4 lead.
After a lead off single to start the Cardinals half of the fifth inning,
Konczyk retired the next three batters on pop outs and a line out to the
shortstop.

Lincoln wins another game by the
10-run rule. The final score was 15-4.
Lucas Konczyk (1-0) earned the win for Lincoln. He tossed five
innings, giving up four runs on nine hits. He struck out one batter
and walked one.
The Railsplitters had 14 hits in the game.
Tanner Strampp was 3-for-4 with a run scored and four RBIs. Sean
Raffa was 3-for-3 with a run scored. Keagan Ferguson was 2-for-4
with a run scored. Dylan Singleton was 1-for-3 with a run scored and
four RBIs. Seth Tungate was 1-for-3 with a run scored and two RBIs.
Trent Koehler, Devyn Snow, Lucas Konczyk and Trey Schilling each had
a hit to round out the offense.
Lincoln improves to 7-1 on the season.
