The cast, crew and directors of the Lincoln Community High School
are excited to be bringing a play to the community this season,
starting tonight, Thursday, May 6.
There will be multiple opportunities to view the play as it will be
performed on Thursday night and Friday night starting at 7 p.m.,
Saturday night starting at 8 p.m. and Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. The
play will be performed on the stage of the LCHS auditorium. Social
distancing is expected and face masks will be required. Tickets will
be $8 for children, students and senior citizens and $10 for adults.
The cast of primary characters is divided into two groups. The Red
Cast will perform on Thursday and Saturday.
Those actors are:
Charlie Brown - Eli Hewitt
Linus - Mal Osborne
Schroeder - Nikos Poulos
Lucy - Caroline Ahrends
Sally - Alaina Taylor
Peppermint Patty - Jacey Cooper
Snoopy - Mackinze Carter
The green cast will perform on Friday evening and Sunday afternoon.
Those actors are:
Charlie Brown - Eli Hewitt
Linus - Liam Luken
Schroeder - Nikos Poulos
Lucy - Grace Mathon
Sally - Kaylea Ingram
Peppermint Patty - Adalyn Stone
Snoopy - Mackinze Carter
As the days to show time were winding down, Tuesday afternoon the
cast and crew were busy working on the tricky parts of the play,
including a few musical numbers that just needed a little fine
tuning.
Within the play there will be plenty of the typical shenanigans and
laughs at the expense of the main character Charlie Brown.
In this scene, Lucy (left) is listing all the reasons no one, not
even Snoopy, truly likes Charlie Brown.
There will also be some special scenes for Snoopy as no Charlie
Brown show would complete without Snoopy and his battle with the Red
Baron.
During two of Snoopy’s scenes strobe lights will be used. This
should be noted for guests with special health concerns that could
be impacted by the flashing light.
Charlie Brown's baby sister, Sally, and the love of her life Linus
(pictured left Sally in Pink and Linus with his blanket), are
included in several scenes.
And, of course, there is Charlie Brown. Eli Hewitt will perform as
Charlie Brown in all four performances. Charlie Brown will struggle
through the big questions in life such as why he can’t fly a kite.
