Habitat for Humanity of Logan County to host House Blessing for build number 25 May 16th

[May 10, 2021]     The board of Habitat for Humanity of Logan County has set Sunday, May 16 for the House Blessing/Dedication of Home build 25. The program will begin at 2:00 p.m. at 718 South Madison Street in Lincoln.

The home was built by the Building and Trades class at Lincolnland Technical Education Center under the guidance of John Ford and HFH co-chair Bob Chamberlain. The LTEC students will be recognized during the program for their work despite Covid 19 - students are: Dave Arkebauer, Brayden Bova, Jayden Courtney, Noah Erickson, Brayden Furlow, Nathan Garriot, Logan Giacomini, Eyon Golden, Drexel Guffey, Zane Hartman, Terrance Hyde Riley Irwin, Nate Ladage, Sarick Morgan, Hunter Riley, Zane Thixton and Kaden Tibbs.

Also participating in the dedication will be Mayor Tracy Welch, Ward 2 aldermen Sam Downs and Ron Fleshman and Ryan Edgecombe, chaplain at Christian Village in addition to the HFHLC board members.

During the Blessing the keys to the home, which is being built on property donated by Stacy Bannister and Ed Coombs, will be presented to Nicole White who has completed her 250 required hours in Partnership with HFHLC in the build in these trying times.

Placards in the home will lift up the businesses and the individuals and churches who have assisted in any way with the build. Following the House Blessing, to which the public is invited – a tour of the home will be available as well as refreshments furnished by Nicole’s brother’s business: Midwest Property Preservations.
