Obituary
Joan F. "Jo" Pokorski Pluth, 90, of
Lincoln passed away on Friday, November 13,2020 at
St. Clara's Rehab and Senior Center in Lincoln.
A Memorial Service for Mrs. Pluth will be held on
Saturday May8, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family
Catholic Church.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00
a.m. also at the church.
A Rosary Service will be held at 9:30
a.m. prior to the visitation.
Private family burial will be held in St. Mary's
Cemetery in Lincoln.
Joan F. Pokorski was born on January 11,1930 in
Lincoln the daughter of Victor and Anna McMonagle
Pokorski. She was united in marriage to Edward
Joseph Pluth on December 11,1951 at St. Patrick's
Catholic Church in Lincoln. He preceded her in death
on March 7,2018 in Lincoln.
She is survived by her daughter: Caryn (Don)
McLaughlin, four grandchildren: Sarah (Justin)
Ramlow, Amy (Jarrett) Phelps, Shanan (Nicholas)
Hoffman, Greg Pluth. Seven great grandchildren: Mia,
Hunter, Landon, Samantha, Cora Grace, James and
Samuel. three sisters: Ceclia Steffen, Betty
Sparling and Patricia (Harold) Eimer. |
She was preceded in death by one son:
Stephen Pluth, husband, parents, two brothers, two
sisters.
Jo graduated from the Lincoln Community High School
in 1947.
She was employed as a beautician.
Jo was member of Holy Family Catholic Church and the
Knights of Columbus Auxiliary.
Her hobbies included baking, sewing,
gardening along with her pride and joy were her
grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to St. Clara's Rehab and
Senior Center or St. Jude Children Research
Hospital.
Peasley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
