Barbara A. Worthey Leesman

[May 20, 2021]  LINCOLN - Barbara A. Worthey Leesman, 87 of Lincoln formerly of Atlanta passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at St. Clara's Rehab and Senior Care Center in Lincoln.

Service: Graveside services will be held on Saturday, May 8,2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Atlanta Cemetery.

Barbara A. Worthey Leesman, 87 of Lincoln formerly of Atlanta passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at St. Clara's Rehab and Senior Care Center in Lincoln.

Graveside Services for Mrs. Leesman will be held on Saturday, May 8,2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Atlanta Cemetery.

Barbara A. King was born on January 6, 1933 in Brookport, Illinois the daughter of Ercle D. and Josie Vivian Mac Donald King. She was united in marriage to H. C. Worthey Jr. on October 29, 1949. He preceded in death on July 3, 1983. She later married Donald Leesman.

She is survived by her children: Michael Worthey, Donald Worthey, Dena (Jerry) Daugherty, Nena Wilcoxson, Sue (Bill) Beavers. Ten grandchildren and Fourteen great grandchildren.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one brother and one sister.

Barb graduated from the Mclean High School.  She was employed at Gilbert's True Value Hardware Store for many years in Atlanta and Memorial Mental Health as a Tech.

Barb's hobbies were reading, traveling, gardening, listening to Bluegrass music and eating Chocolate Bourbon Pie.

Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association.

Peasley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
