Hospital officials said that Sochotsky, of Normal, embodies Memorial
Health System values in her work, particularly when it comes to the
top priority at Memorial Health System: safety of all patients and
colleagues.
Sochotsky recently accepted a promotion to charge nurse, which adds
to her responsibilities during each shift. Her co-workers said she
has met each new challenge with her signature “can-do” attitude and
attention to detail.
“The best part of my job is having the opportunity to just be there
for another person in their moment of need,” Sochotsky said. “As
cliché as it sounds, in those moments, something as simple as a kind
word can mean everything. I’m thankful I have a job that allows me
to help someone every day.”
