- Katherine “Kathy” Louise Boward, 62, formerly of
Mount Pulaski, passed from this life at 1:00 p.m. on May 21, 2021 at
St. John’s Hospital in Springfield. She is now in the care of her
Savior, Jesus Christ.

Obituary
Katherine “Kathy” Louise Boward, 62,
formerly of Mount Pulaski, passed from this life at
1:00 p.m. on May 21, 2021 at St. John’s Hospital in
Springfield. She is now in the care of her Savior,
Jesus Christ.
Kathy was born on January 28, 1959 in Lincoln, the
youngest child of James and Sarah (Thorp) Jackson.
Kathy is survived by her daughter: Hannah (Taylor
Wibben) Boward of Mount Pulaski, two grandchildren:
Kaiden and Carter; her siblings: Alan (Judi) Jackson
of Kalamazoo, MI, Linda Stanfield of Las Vegas, NV,
and Doug (Janet, deceased) Jackson of Philo. She had
two step daughters, four step grandchildren as well
as four nieces and nephews and six great nieces and
nephews.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents.
Kathy graduated from Mount Pulaski
High School in 1977 and attended Lincoln Land
Community College.

She was employed at Memorial Medical
Center and St. John’s hospital and really enjoyed
her part time jobs taking care of the elderly.
Kathy was a very selfless person who always put
others before herself. She loved her pets, flowers,
and shopping adventures. Kathy loved to travel,
especially out to Las Vegas to spend time with her
sister. But most of all, she loved her
grandchildren.
Services for Kathy will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May
29, 2021 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in
Mount Pulaski with Rev. Al Sample officiating.
Visitation will be two hours prior to the service,
11:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m.
Memorials may be made in Kathy’s name to Children’s
Miracle Network, the Humane Society of Logan County
or to the family (grandchildren).
